Ultimate Desire - Kinky Edition

After we'd played through the basic Ultimate Desire game, we were very curious about the expansion set. We were really positive about the basic game and we had very high expectations for the expansion set.


Look

The box the expansion set comes in looks the same as the basic game, it's just smaller. It looks fun and provocative. As soon as you open the box, you'll see two stacks of cards. It's neatly packaged.

Using it

The expansion can only be played along with the basic set, with the board, hourglasses, pieces, and dice. The experience will take your whole evening, so you really take the time for each other. It's much different than watching a movie together on the couch. The game starts in the middle of the board. Whoever rolls the highest number starts. It switches back and forth between questions and assignments, which is fun. There are questions about sex where you can choose between easy and difficult questions. There are also intimate questions about you or your partner. That was extra fun and exciting for us, because you get to know each other better. The assignments you get are also different. The blue assignments are called tender assignments. Those are followed by the orange assignments, which are called intimate assignments. The red assignments are the hot assignments. What we like about it is that you can always skip assignments and questions. That makes it more accessible. When you're going to do an assignment, it says whether you should use the blue (30 seconds) or red hourglass (3 minutes). We really like that part, because that way you already know in advance how long something is going to take, which can also make the assignments more accessible. We made a fun evening of it by putting on some relaxing music, lighting the candles and having a drink. That created a relaxed atmosphere. We thought the questions in the expansion set were just as provocative as the ones in the basic game.

The conclusion

Our conclusion is that we definitely recommend the Ultimate Desire Expansion Set. After playing the basic game, we thought it was a nice addition to the basic game. It fits the basic game well and the questions and assignments were fun and varied. Here, too, we recommend always having respect for each other. Not everyone is going to want to do every assignment. We're certainly going to have many more evenings of fun with the expansion set.
