Okay, for this review, we're going to take a trip back in history. And by that I mean my history. About ten years ago, I ordered a set of BDSM items from Marktplaats.

Not the best quality, but very expensive. One of those items was a hood. A faux leather, sort of plastic hood with interchangeable gags. The gags were kind of like bouncy balls that I was able to bite pieces off of when I tried them out. The whole thing was just awful. I put it on two or three times, then never again. I thought I disliked all hoods. I thought hoods were over the top, something only people who always have on full S&M outfits would wear.
Then I got this black spandex mask from Fetish Fantasy Series to test. I pushed through my reluctance and tested it thoroughly. Would this hood be good enough to break my aversion?

The mask came in a simple box. It features a good-looking model looking coquettishly into the camera. The mask itself is simple. It's black spandex fabric and is a little like bathing suit material. There's nice finishing on the seams. It's a simple product, so there's not much to say about it.
Use
And now to using it. My husband wanted to put the mask on me, but it's much easier to do on your own. It's pretty tight, it's one size fits most, and it almost wouldn't work on someone else. After some fiddling I got it on. The fabric stretches out after a few uses, which makes this part easier. There are two holes for the eyes and one for the mouth. That means your nose is closed in. The fabric is thin enough to breathe through, but it doesn't smell good, especially in the beginning. The mouth hole kept sliding upwards on its own, releasing my nose. That felt a lot more practical to me. I have to say that I don't find gags annoying and this was a pleasant way to be gagged. And to get even more personal: I loved the feeling. I like tight bondage, and in my opinion, this was a perfect extra way to be tied up.
Recommendation?
So yeah, this black spandex mask has definitely convinced me of the usefulness of hoods. It gave me an extra tied up feeling, even though in reality, that wasn't the case. But in the right setting, this could definitely add to the ambiance. My husband didn't like the fact that he had to look at a stupid mask instead of me the whole time, but on the whole, it was just a small sacrifice. We will definitely use this item pretty regularly and I can recommend it to anyone, whether you are a beginner or advanced in the BDSM world. The price is low, and for me, the feeling and experience were priceless.
