      Many consider a pre-heated sleeve a must have. I myself don't find the flesh light that cold by itself, they warm up quickly when used and of course you can preheat them with water.
      Bought this to heat a considerably larger masturbator(5.5kg) that stays cold a bit longer and it works fine with that.
      The product is also sturdy enough to carry that weight while standing, so solid quality.
      Because it is a heater you do need a USB connection with enough power! I once connected it to an older USB but then the LED started blinking rapidly (so not on and off every few minutes like normal heating) without getting hot. I thought maybe water got in during cleaning (there is an edge at the top of the heating rod). Of course, I had long since thrown away the packaging and manual and was just about to contact them to return it when I tried the adapter from my phone and it just worked again.
      So the rod itself, despite the edge, is just waterproof but don't completely submerge the product under water, at least not the piece where the wire is attached.
