First impression
Whips are the most difficult items to review. It's actually 95% dependent on who has it, literally. This whip comes with a cardboard label attached that says that it's part of the Easytoys Fetish Collection. On the label you can also see that there are multiple models available. The whip is made from ABS and the handle and end are made of faux leather. It's nicely detailed and feels decent. It's not the most expensive in its segment, but you'd never know it. The only downsides are the seam in the handle and the material the loop is made of. It's really thin and feels kind of cheap. The shaft hardly bends, only the flap on the end is flexible. The edge on the bottom flap is pretty sharp. Not so sharp that you can cut yourself on it, but it's definitely not a gentle bulge. The end of this whip is flat, so it doesn't have separate leather strips.
Use
We already had a crop, but it's a slightly different model, the bottom part is folded. My husband had no problem testing them both out on me. I actually didn't feel any difference between the two crops. It's my understanding that a crop isn't really intended to cause pain, but more for caressing and stroking. Both did that equally well. The only difference I noticed was that the whip I'm talking about now felt a little sharper every now and again because the edge is more angular. For a product that's used on a masochist, I don't think that's a downside; it actually adds an extra dimension. Otherwise the whip did it's job well and there weren't any defects.
Final verdict
It's a great whip, especially at this price. If you don't have much experience with whips yet, then be careful how hard you're striking. A crop isn't designed to really hit someone hard. So don't strike with all your strength, instead use something like a blindfold to stroke your sub, give them gentle swats or directions. This crop does everything it should. I think I'm going to be feeling it on my skin more often.
